PAIR at MadeInnConce 2026

Three days at Teatro Biobío, and a conversation that repeated itself at almost every stand.

MadeInnConce reached its fifth edition in April and returned to Teatro Biobío for three days, from the 7th to the 9th. It is the largest innovation and entrepreneurship festival in southern Chile, it is free, and this year it gathered more than fifteen thousand registrants around talks, mentoring and stands. We presented PAIR on the first day.

What we did was what we always do when we have to explain the product to people who do not work in the field: open a paper inspection form —a real one, worn, the kind that arrives with a folded corner— and show how long it takes to come out digitised and filled from a phone. No presentation explains that better than seeing it.

What repeated itself in almost every conversation

After three days telling the same story many times, you notice which part hooks people. And it was not the one we expected.

Almost nobody asked about capture. That a form gets filled from a phone, with or without signal, is taken for granted: several tools do it and people know. What did open a conversation, again and again, was the second half: what happens to that record after it is saved. Who approved it, against which version of the form, which time counts, where the finding lands on the floor plan, and how a question nobody anticipated gets answered three months later.

That is the part that on most sites is still redone by hand, and the one we were asked to show twice most often.

Why a regional festival matters

Concepción is where PAIR was born and where most of the team is. A festival like this concentrates into three days conversations that would otherwise take months: people from sites, from the university, from other start-ups and from the programmes that support them, all in the same building.

It also serves the less comfortable purpose, which is hearing what does not work. Several of the questions we were asked there —the ones that left an awkward silence— ended up changing how we explain the product and, in a couple of cases, the product itself.
