The rework is not in the field. It is in the office, two weeks later.
An inspector walks the site with a 360 camera on the helmet. From that video comes a navigable tour that opens from the office: nobody has to rebuild from memory where each thing was, because the whole site was recorded.
The work that gets redone in the office
- A round comes back as hundreds of loose photographs and a half-finished form. Each photo proves something up close and none of them says what was next to it, at what height or in which aisle: in the office you have to guess where the person taking it was standing.
- The question that arrives later —«what did that beam look like in July?»— gets answered by nobody. Either you go up again, and going up costs a flight and two days, or you answer from memory, which is worse.
- The specialist who has to give an opinion is a thousand kilometres away, and what they know of the site is only what somebody decided to photograph. What was not photographed does not exist for them.

What you have to be able to answer when somebody looks at the recording
Recording the whole site is also recording the people who were working there. And a photograph works as evidence because of its date, not its sharpness.

What reaches the client is not access to a system: it is a folder that opens from a link or from a USB stick, and asks nothing of the internet.
